“THK” stands for “Toughness”, “High Quality” and “Know-how”.
The more commonly used models of THK linear guides:
LM Guide: HSR, SR, NR/NRS, HRW, RSR/RSR-W, RSR-Z, HR, GSR, GSR-R, CSR, MX, JR, HCR, HMG, NSR-TBC, HSR-M1, SR-M1, RSR-M1, HSR-M2.
Retainer type roller guide: SRG, SRN, SRW.
Ball cage type LM guide: SHS, SSR, SHW, SRS, SCR, SVR/SVS, EPF.
THK linear guide can greatly improve equipment accuracy and mechanical efficiency. Compared with the traditional sliding guide, the friction coefficient of the rolling guide can be reduced to 1/50 of the original. Because the friction force of starting is greatly reduced, relatively less invalid motion occurs, so it can easily reach the μm-level feed and positioning .
However, THK guide rails have to undergo strict assessment. The following are the factors of the assessor:
1. Precision retention
Accuracy retention refers to the ability of the guide rail to maintain the original geometric accuracy during the working process. The accuracy of the guide rail mainly depends on the wear resistance and dimensional stability of the guide rail. The wear resistance is related to the material matching, force, machining accuracy, lubrication method and performance of the protective device of the guide rail pair. In addition, the residual stress in the guide rail and its supporting parts will also affect the accuracy of the guide rail.
2. Vibration resistance and stability
Vibration resistance refers to the ability of the guide rail pair to withstand forced vibration and impact, while stability refers to the performance of no self-excited vibration under given operating conditions.
3. Smoothness of movement
The smoothness of the rail movement refers to the performance of the rail without crawling when it moves at a low speed or a small amount of movement. Stability is related to factors such as the structure of the guide rail, the matching of the guide rail pair materials, the lubrication condition, the nature of the lubricant and the rigidity of the transmission system of the guide rail movement.
